{Under construction!}
The history of theology is about the way theology has developed and the way history has impacted theology. Unlike Systematic theology which employs a certain arrangement of topics, historical theology follows theological themes chronologically. The topic can be further subdivided into three aspects, the main periods, the main theologians and the key themes.
Main Periods:
- Patristic c. 100-451
- Middle Ages and the Renaissance c.500-1500
- The Reformation, Counter Reformation and Post-Reformation Periods 1500-1750
- The Modern Period 1750-The Present Day
