Helmuth James Graf von Moltke (March 11, 1907-January 23, 1945) was a German jurist and member of the Kreisau Circle. A conspirator in the July 20 plot, he was arrested in January 1944 and was later executed at Plötzensee Prison in Berlin.
Helmuth James Graf von Moltke was born on March 11, 1907. He was the firstborn of the landowner and member of the Prussian house of Lords (Preußisches Herrenhaus) Graf Helmuth von Moltke and of his wife Dorothy (née Lady Rose-Innes), the daughter of the highest judge of the South African Union on the estate Kreisau (in Silesia, today: Poland). His parents were members of the Christian Science church.
