Hector is a fictional character appearing in the Fire Emblem role playing game series. His parents died of natural causes. He is Eliwood's childhood friend and the Marquess of Ostia's young brother. Equipped with an axe, this valiant axefighter sets out on an adventure to help his friend in search of his father Elbert, along with a few Ostian colleagues, and the beloved princess of Caelin Lyndis. But behind the scenes there is terrible news concerning his brother Uther.

Hector eventually acquires the legendary axe Armads (Almace), used by the legend Durbans the berserker in the Scouring.

Hector also appears in "Fire Emblem: The Sword of Seals" but only for a short period.

Hector's Friends

Eliwood - Hector's lifelong friend. Hector travel's with him to find Eliwood's father. Hector would do anything for his friend.

Matthew - A thief and spy in service to House Ostia. He is loyal to Hector, and skilled at unlocking chests and doors.

Oswin - A knight in service to House Ostia. He is constantly looking out for Hector, much to Hector's dismay.

Uther - Hector's older brother and guardian. He is the contrary voice of reason to Hector's recklessness. He falls ill (during Hector's story only) and dies, leaving Hector to be the leader of Lycia and Ostia.

Raven - A mercenary with a grudge against House Ostia. He despises Hector because House Ostia destroyed House Cornwall many years ago. This put he and his sister Priscilla in danger. He joins up with Hector and plots revenge on Hector, but Lucius convinces him that there is no reason for revenge.

Serra - An annoying cleric from Ostia. She is loud, overbearing, obnoxious, and a drama queen. Some question as to whether she really is a follower of St. Elimine or...something else altogether, since most clerics are quiet, serene beings. She is oblivious to others' dislike of her. No one can "do" anything about her because of the invaluble healing sevices she provides.

Athos - The old and wise Archsage. He has a massive amount of power, but chooses to test Hector's power, rather than using his own to accomplish obtaining the Legendary Sword and Axe. As he thought, Hector is worthy of wielding Armads, the thunder axe of Durban. Hector affectionatly calls him "Greybeard."

Farina - A pegasus knight from Ilia. She travels as a mercenary, charging outrageous prices for her services. Her employers find she is worth her money. Hector hires her to be in her army. She overworks herself to the point of exaustion, causing Hector much concern. She eventually marries Hector, thereby becoming the Marquis of Ostia. Their daughter plays a major role in Fire Emblem: The Sword of Seals
