Hønefoss is a town in Norway, administratively part of, and also centre of, the municipality Ringerike. It has 13,400 inhabitants, and is located north of lake Tyrifjorden, where the river Begna forms Høne waterfalls, giving the town its name. Many factories are located here, including large paper mills.
Hønefoss celebrated its 150th year of township in 2002.
