- A graduate is one who has graduated from a school. A person may be a graduate of several schools, one at each level of education that they have completed.
- The term graduate student usually refers to a student studying at the postgraduate level. A graduate student may be referred to simply as a graduate when the context is unambiguous. Compare undergraduate.
- The Graduate is a novel by Charles Webb, made into a 1967 film of the same name directed by Mike Nichols; see also Ann Bancroft.
