Genital stage
|
The genital stage is a stage of child development in one of the theories postulated by Sigmund Freud and elaborated by his followers.
It is, according to this theory, the stage of sexual awareness that occurs around and about the age of 3 and a half through 4 years of age between siblings. Awareness between father and daughter usually occurs at about 11 years of age, and mother and son at about 13 years of age.
