Gaspar Corte-Real (around 1450 - 1501) was a Portuguese explorer.
He was son of Joćo Vaz Corte-Real. In 1500, Manuel I of Portugal sent him to discover lands and search for the Northwest Passage. He set out on a second voyage in 1501 with his brother Miguel Corte-Real. They are believed to have reached Labrador and Newfoundland where they captured around sixty native men. Gaspar then sent his brother and another ship accompanying them back to Portugal before continuing southwards. Nothing more was heard of him. His brother attempted to find him in 1502, but he too was lost.
