Fuck Off
|
Fuck Off was a notorious art exhibition which ran alongside the Shanghai Biennial Festival in 2000. Its name was a loose and questionable translation of the exhibition's corresponding Chinese title: The Uncooperative Attitude. The exhibition was basically a group of artists freely exhibiting their work and ideals against the background of the political regime and morals of their country. Many influential artists of the current Chinese art scene took part, many of whom have since been included in international exhibitions, catalogues and television documentaries.
"Fuck off" is also a slang term used to tell someone to go away in very profane language. Though it is profane, more and more people are using it in today's society. Many people use this as an example of social degradation.
(Les) Fuck-offs is a slang French term for the British; it comes from an expression of what British say to the French.
