FtsZ
|
FtsZ is a gene found in Escherichia coli that encodes a protein involved with the formation of a septum during binary division. The FtsZ protein shares many similarities to the eukaryote protein tubulin, such as a specific amino acid sequence, GTPase activity, and polymerization activity.
