Front (military)

A military front is an area in which an army or nation expects to do most of its fighting. This can be a local or tactical front, or it can range to a theater.
- The term "home front" has been used to denote conditions in the civilian sector of a country at war, including those involved in the production of war matériel.
- During the Polish-Soviet War and World War II, the Soviet Army used the term "front" to designate an army group.Template:Mil-stub
