Fossa has several meanings.
- Fossa (animal) (Cryptoprocta ferox) is an endangered species of mammal native to the island of Madagascar. The fossa is surely one of the world's strangest predators. It is the largest carnivore on the island, is rather cat-like in appearance but is infact related to the mongoose.
- Fossa is a term in anatomy referring to a pit, groove or depression in a bone. Some parts of the skull are the Incisive Fossa, Jugular Fossa, Mandibular Fossa, Digastric Fossa, Condylar Canal & Fossa, Incisive Fossa, Jugular Fossa
