Fiend Club
|
The Fiend Club was a fan club for fans of seminal horror punk group, the Misfits. It was originally active from 1979 until 1983. It was disbanded due to the Misfits breaking up. It was run by Glenn Danzig, the lead singer for the Misfits, and was a clear example of the DIY (do it yourself) attitude of punk at the time.
Members of the Fiend Club could purchase items through mail order, like vinyls, stickers, t-shirts, and buttons, that were often member exclusive. Members also received a newsletter containing information such as upcoming tour dates.
A song titled "Fiend Club" appears on the reformed version of the Misfits' 1999 release, Famous Monsters.
