Faces was a 1968 movie by John Cassavetes, starring Gena Rowlands. The movie, shot in cinéma vérité-style, concerned the gradual implosion of a marriage, and the emotional neediness of the husband, his wife, and their lovers. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards in 1968.
