FPS has several meanings:
- FPS is an abbreviation for frames per second in visual media.
- An FPS is a first-person shooter action video game where the player's on-screen view of the game world simulates that of the character.
- fps is an abbreviation for "feet per second", an imperial unit for speed. 1 fps = 1 ft/s = 0.3048 m/s.
- Ice hockey team FPS of the club Forssan Palloseura
- Federal Protective Service - both the US and Russia have a FPS.
- FPS or fps identifies any of several foot-pound-second systems of mechanical units. See pound.
- Floating Point Systems - a computer company founded in 1970 and later purchased by Cray Research.
