This is a list of the extreme points of Ireland, the points that are farther north, south, east or west than any other location.
Including islands
- Northernmost Point — Inishtrahull Island, County Donegal ¹

Irish mainland
- Northernmost Point — near Malin Head, Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal
- Southernmost Point — Brow Head, County Cork
- Westernmost Point — Garraun Point, Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry
- Easternmost Point — Burr Point, Ards Peninsula, County Down ³
Often the term "Malin Head to Mizen Head" is used when encompassing the entire country/island from north to south. Mizen Head, in West Cork, is popularly described as the "most south-western point in Ireland". The promontory hosts a lighthouse and radio/weather station, now a tourist attraction.
¹ The Republic of Ireland claims Rockall, which, if it is included as part of Ireland, is both the northernmost and westernmost island.
² The easternmost point of the Republic of Ireland is Lambay Island in County Dublin.
³ The easternmost point on the Irish mainland within the Republic of Ireland is Wicklow Head in County Wicklow.
