Exene Cervenka (born February 1, 1956 in Chicago), is best known as vocalist and original member of punk rock band X. She has also performed and recorded solo doing spoken word.
Over the years she has also been known as Christene Cervenka, Exene Cervenkova, and Christene Edge. As of 2004, she lives in Los Angeles performing with X and her new band Original Sinners. She also works as a teacher and librarian.
She has a son from her marriage with Viggo Mortensen.
