El Comercio

Diario El Comercio is the largest daily newspaper of Peru, with a circulation of over 120,000. Its editorial headquarters are in Lima

El Comercio was founded in 1839 and is the oldest privately-owned newspaper in the country. During the 1970s, the military took control of it.

The Miró Quesada family is the paper's major shareholder.
