Ecthelion I

Ecthelion is in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth the seventeenth Ruling Steward of Gondor. He succeeded his father Orodreth at his death in T.A. 2685.
He rebuilt the White Tower in Minas Tirith, which afterwards carried his name.
Ecthelion has no children. He was followed by his cousin Egalmoth, the grandson of Orodreth's sister Morwen, at his death in 2698.
