Ebtx is a webmaster based in Texas (Ebtx stands for E.B. from Texas) who posts commentary (ranging from the mundane to the polemical) related to science, technology, politics, philosophy, art, music, linguistics, economics, and virtually any other intellectual subject. He also hosts a forum for discussion related to information on the site.
Though little is known about Ebtx personally, he enjoys (and seems to cultivate) a reputation as a benevolent crank. He is known to be middle-aged and blind in one eye.
