Dreams for Sale was an episode of The Twilight Zone
Meg Foster stars as a woman whose day outdoors at a family picnic, takes a decidedly shocking detour with a futuristic reality.
At first, the picnic goes well - the woman enjoys a day out with her husband and their children. However, she quickly becomes confused when events start repeating themselves and people start speaking erratically, like a broken or skipped record. Eventually, the woman wakes up in a "Dream-a-tron" machine which is part of a vast work complex covering the entire Earth. This is her true reality - all of the workers are allowed a few minutes each day in the dream machines to escape their day-to-day lives. She refuses to accept the situation and asks to be connected to the machine once again. However, the dream machine then malfunctions, trapping the woman in the alternate reality forever.
