In 1987, the Chrysler Corporation introduced a new small model of automobile, the Dodge Shadow, and its clone, the Plymouth Sundance. They were built in Sterling Heights, Michigan and Toluca, Mexico.
Both 2-door and 4-door models were built. A convertible version debuted in 1991. Production ended on March 16, 1994. The Shadow was replaced by the Neon.
