Danny Hellman, nicknamed "Dirty Danny", is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist who has become known for his prediliction for "pranks." His illustrations have been printed in publications including The New York Press, Time, Screw, and The Wall Street Journal.
One of Hellman's "pranks" involved sending out emails supposedly written by cartoonist Ted Rall that resulted in a $1.5 million impersonation lawsuit from Rall. To pay for the legal costs, Hellman began publishing the comics anthology titled Legal Action Comics, which features work from many of today's top alternative comics artists.
