Dan Hill

Dan Hill (born Toronto, Ontario in 1954 to American émigrés) is a biracial Canadian singer and songwriter. He had a major hit with "Sometimes When We Touch" in 1977. His subsequent albums failed to replicate his smash success, so he primarily pursued songwriting rather than performing in the 1980s.
In 1987, however, he had another major pop hit with "Can't We Try", a duet with the then-unknown Vonda Shepard. However, he has continued to concentrate on songwriting rather than recording.
He is the brother of author Lawrence Hill.
