Cottesloe Beach is the premium metropolitan beach in Perth, Western Australia and arguably the nicest city beach in Australia. The suburb surrounding the beach is half-way between the Perth CBD and the port city of Fremantle. It is now the most expensive beach-side suburb in the State but has retained a family-oriented and relaxed atmosphere.

The Town of Cottesloe is a Local Government Area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 4 square kilometers in metropolitan Perth, the capital of Western Australia and lies about 12km West of the Perth CBD. The Town of Cottesloe maintains 45.7 km of roads and has a population of 7,470.
The suburb of Cottesloe is the only suburb within this local government area.
