Cory Matthews is the main character of the series Boy Meets World . Cory Matthews is played by Ben Savage who is the brother of Fred Savage.
Cory Matthews' place in Boy Meets World
Cory Matthews, as the main character of the series, everything revolves around him. All the characters' purposes are based to aid and guide Cory throughout his life. The series' first purpose is to follow Cory's life through his triumphs and his struggles. Cory's best friend, Shawn Hunter is exactly the opposite of Cory, he is a social rebel, he lives in a trailer park and has almost no money. He also has his ways with the ladies. Cory's mother and father (Amy and Alan Matthews respectively) are hard working people who try to make a decent living to raise their three children (at the end of the series, there will be a fourth child born}. Their other two children are Eric Matthews, the handsome, sometimes idiotic older brother who tries to distance himself from Cory at all possible times. Morgan Matthews, the younger sister who uses her looks and innocence to get what she wants, she also has an amazing talent to sing. Cory, with his stuborness and laziness, struggles with his friend to get through school. To help them, there is Mr. George Feeny, his mentor and neighbour. He tries as hard as possible to get them through school and he eventually does. Finally, there is Topanga Lawrence, his first and only love, his wife and life-long companion. Topanga and Cory's relationship is the main focus of the later part of the series and at the end of the series, Topanga, Cory and many of his friends leave Philadelphia for the Big Apple, New York City.
