Cornflower
|
The cornflower or bachelor's button (Centaurea cyanus) is a small annual Composite plant with blue flowers. It grows natively in cornfields (i.e. wheatfields) in Europe, but now is naturalised in North America and other parts of the world.
The Blue Cornflower has been the national flower of Estonia since 1968 and sybolizes daily bread to Estonians.
The flower is the symbol of the Swedish political party Folkpartiet.
