Comala

Comala is a municipality in the Mexican state of Colima. It stands at 19° 18’ N latitude and 103° 37 W longitude.
The municipality reported 19,384 inhabitants in the 2000 census.Comala is a very small city and its famous because of its white houses, and for the Juan Rulfo's novel Pedro Paramo, in which the beautiful but small city of Comala is described as this "ghost town" because of its small population and its continuos white houses. Comala is also famous for its "botaneros", pubs where people go to have a drink and receive free "botanas"(snacks), usually with live music.
