Clyde R. Hoey

Clyde Roark Hoey (11 December 1877 -- 12 May 1954) was the Democratic governor of the U.S. state of North Carolina from 1937 to 1941. Hoey later served as a U.S. Senator from 1945 until his death in 1954.
