Cindy Clerico was the third and last wife of actor Michael Landon. They met on the set of his series Little House on the Prairie in 1977, where she worked as a make-up artist and stand-in for Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary Ingalls). They began dating three years later while Landon was still married. Landon divorced his second wife Lynn Noe to marry Clerico in 1983. They had two children together: Jennifer born in 1983, and Sean born in 1986.
The Landons lived in Malibu, California. In 1991 Michael Landon was diagnosed with inoperable cancer of the pancreas and the liver. Cindy Landon gathered all of his nine children in their house and was the only one with her husband in his room when he died an July 1 1991.
