Chocolate Salty Balls
|
Chocolate Salty Balls are a confection produced by the character Chef on the television series, South Park. The title of the snack leads to a series of double entendres. Cartman says, "I love your chocolate salty balls, Chef!" This is followed by Kyle who gushes, "You've got the best balls in the whole world, Chef." Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls is the episode they appear in and it debuted on August 19, 1998.
Chef, who is voiced by singer Isaac Hayes, also sings a related song that continues the sexual references:
- Say everybody, have you seen my balls?
- They're big and salty and brown.
- If you ever need a quick pick me up
- Just stick my balls in your mouth.
- Oooh, suck on my chocolate, salty balls.
- (Put 'em in your mouth!)
- Put 'em in your mouth and suck 'em...
During the same episode, Chef initially attempts to solicit a line of fudge-based confections entitled, "Fudge 'Ems", "Fudge This", "Go Fudge Yourself", "I Don't Really Give a Flying Fudge" and "I Just Went and Fudged Your Momma".
The song, entitled "Chocolate Salty Balls (PS I Love You)" also appears on Chef Aid: The South Park Album (see also List of Chef's songs (South Park)). It reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart and was also a hit in Australia.
Recipe
The lyrics of the song reveal the recipe:
- two tablespoons of cinnamon
- two or three egg whites
- half a stick of butter, melted
- stick it all in a bowl (baby)
- stir it with a wooden spoon
- mix in a cup of flour
- (you'll be in heaven soon)
- a quarter cup of unsweetened chocolate
- half a cup of brandy
- a bag or two of sugar
- just a pinch of vanilla
- grease up a cookie sheet
- ('cause I hate when my balls stick)
- preheat the oven to 350
- (give that spoon a lick)
The length of time to cook the balls is not mentioned in the song. It is possibly notable that the ingredients do not include salt.
