This list of aircraft carriers of the United States Navy includes all types in the main hull numbering sequence, consisting of hull classification symbols CV, CVA, CVB, CVL, and CVN. All units after CVA-58 are supercarriers.

The active carriers of the US Navy as of June 1, 2004 are the Kitty Hawk-class carrier USS Kitty Hawk, the Enterprise, the John F.
