There are several geographical locations named Carolina:
- Carolina, North America = Between 1663 and 1729 Carolina was the united and singular North American British colony of the Province of Carolina. It was the successor to the Province of Carolana which existed as a grant from 1629 and which appears to have lapsed at some time after 1649. The new Province of Carolina was ultimately split into two colonies, North Carolina and South Carolina and it originally included much of Georgia and Tennesee, all of which are now states in the United States of America.
- The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is commonly called Carolina, especially when referring to its athletic teams.
