Cap d'Agde

Cap d'Agde is the seaside resort of Agde.
The quartier naturiste is a large sectioned-off part of the town. It is one of the largest nudist resorts in the world, a popular place for naturists and sexually liberated adults alike.
- Pronunciation: Cop (rhymes with top) + dogged (one syllable).
- Location: The quartier naturiste is on the northeastern edge of the town of Cap d'Agde, which is on the Mediterranean coast of France in the département of Hérault in the région of Languedoc-Roussillon.
- Size: The nudist resort is the size of a small town, bordered by a 2km-long stretch of beach.
- Population: Expect a total of around 300,000 people during the entire season. In the height of summer, as many as 60,000 people visit the resort at any one time.
- Infrastructure: Within the nudist resort is a beach, port, campsite, apartment complexes, hotel, shops, restaurants, bars, post office, bank, petrol station, launderettes, hairdressers, tennis courts, and other such facilities. Nudity is allowed and common on the street as well as inside these facilities. In the evening, when it gets colder, more people are dressed.

- Time Zone: GMT + 1 hour (standard); GMT + 2 hours (summer) .
