Bruno Erhard Abegg

Bruno Erhard Abegg (born 17 January 1803 in Elbing, died 16 December 1848 in Berlin) was a Prussian statesman.
Bruno Abegg's father was a merchant and Privy Trade Council in Elbing, his cousin was the criminalist Julius Friedrich Heinrich Abegg. Abegg himself studied law in Heidelberg and Königsberg beginning in 1822 and practised in Danzig and Königsberg. In 1831, he purchased a manor in Fischhausen and became head of this district on 23 April 1833. He moved to Königsberg where he became superintendent of the police. In 1835, he was given the title of Privy Council of the Government in Berlin and sent to Breslau. He became vice president of the Fünfzigerausschuss (Commission of the Fifty) in Frankfurt. Later, he was member of the National Assembly of Berlin, where he died of an illness.
