Boromir (Steward)
|
Boromir is in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth the eleventh Ruling Steward of Gondor.
Boromir succeeded his father Denethor I at his death in 2477 Third Age, and inherited a realm siege. Ithilien had been lost to the fierce Uruk-hai, and Boromir fought several extensive campaigns to win back the land. Eventually he succeeded, but Ithilien remained depopulated because of the threat from Minas Morgul.
He was followed by his son Cirion at his death in 2489.
