Boi
Boi may refer to:
- Airport code for Boise International Airport in Idaho
- One of a number of Celtic tribes called Boi
- Paolo Boi, (1528-1598) Italian chess player who beat the Pope
- Saint Boi de Llobregat, a town near Barcelona
- Boi music is a style of Central Amazonian folk music now moving into the mainstream in Brazil
- A boi may be a female born person who does not identify with being female, who feels they are in the wrong gendered body, one who has taken their gender to a new level of that between male and female. One who is a genderbender, male thoughts feelings ideas trapped in an opposite physical body.
- A boi may also be an effeminate male. A term used in the younger generation of the LGBT community to denote a male who has an effeminate body and/or mindset. In this context boi is not used explicitely to refer to someone who is transgendered, but can refer to a biological male with a male outlook but an effeminate form. This meaning has also been generalized to any young gay male, or indeed, any young male, regardless of sexuality (see Big Boi). Compare twink.
