Beeston is an area of inner-city south Leeds, West Yorkshire, England with a population of about 16,000[1] (http://www.leeds-statistics.org/PDF_Downloads/Files/W-Beeston.pdf). It is a mixed but largely working-class area, with - unusually for south Leeds - a sizable south Asian population. Most of the housing is of nineteenth-century stock, varying from small back-to-back terraces to larger terraces and semi-detached houses.
