Batman: Gotham Knights

Batman: Gotham Knights was the successor to the highly acclaimed television program Batman: The Animated Series and is also known as The New Batman Adventures.
Batman: Gotham Knights is also comic book series published by DC Comics and featuring the superhero character Batman.
Stories in Gotham Knights tend to involve the Batman's large supporting cast, which include fellow crime-fighters Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl, among others.

Television Series
The television series Batman: Gotham Knights was produced for the WB and started several years after Batman: The Animated Series had stopped production. The animation style was changed signficantly from Batman: The Animated Series due to budgetary issues and to have the show more compatible with much lighter looking brighter and more stylized Superman: The Animated Series which Gotham Knights would eventually air in tandem with as part of The New Batman/Superman Adventures. The show had a signficant change in focus from the original series with episodes focusing less on Batman and more on the many characters that inhabitated Gotham City. Despite having much of the same cast and crew behind it, Gotham Knights was not nearly as well recieved from both fans and critics alike as the original Batman: The Animated Series due to the change in animation, tone, music, storyline, focus and style. Others, however, accepted the change believing that more than one interpretation of the superhero is welcomed.
