The initialism BFG expands to several terms:
- Big Friendly Giant: The BFG is a children's book by Roald Dahl.
- the former German Bank für Gemeinwirtschaft (BfG), today belonging to the group of the Stockholms Enskilda Bank (SEB)
- the tire manufacturer BF Goodrich.
- the French motorcycle manufacturer BFG, which used Flat engines from the Citroën models GS and 2CV. The company name comes from the first letters of the names of the founding engineers Louis Boccardo, Dominique Favario and Thierry Grange.
- BFG Technologies, an American graphics card manufacturer.
- the British Forces Germany.
- a series of fictional weapons used in first-person shooter computer games:
- the fictional weapon BFG9000 of the classic first-person shooter Doom. (BFG stands for Big F***ing Gun.)
- the fictional weapon BFG10K of the first-person shooter Quake II. (That game and Quake III Arena described it in the game manual as a big, freakin' gun.)
- Similarly, it can also be used to refer to weapons of similar size and/or destructive capability.
