Azincourt (sometimes: Agincourt) is a village and commune of northern France in the Pas-de-Calais départment, 14 miles to the north-west of Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise by road, famous on account of the victory, on October 25 1415, of Henry V of England over the French in the Battle of Agincourt. Population (1999): 276.
The original museum of the battle featuring model knights fabricated from Action Man has given way to a more professional space with slide shows, audio commentary's and some interactive elements. The museum building is itself modelled on the longbow of the English soldiers.fr:Azincourt sv:Agincourt
