Asses of Fire
|
Within the South Park movie, Asses of Fire was the first feature length motion picture starring Terrance and Phillip. The movie sparked a huge controversy in the town of South Park, as the film contained excessive use of explicit language that influenced children and adults alike, causing them to incorporate the language into everyday use without even knowing.
Asses of Fire is a parody of conservative views of the South Park movie, just as Terrance and Phillip's television show seen in the South Park television series is a parody of conservative views of South Park.
Like the South Park movie within which it exists, Asses of Fire is a musical. It features the profane song "Uncle Fucka," the lyrics of which not only contain over 30 instances of the word fuck but are in fact concerned entirely with sexual relations between Terrance and Phillip and their respective uncles. In the Academy Awards, this song was passed over in the Best Song stakes in favour of the cleaner "Blame Canada." It did, however, win the 2000 MTV Movie Award for Best Musical Performance.
