Ariadne Oliver

Ariadne Oliver is a character in the novels of Agatha Christie. Mrs Oliver is a mystery novelist and a friend of Hercule Poirot. She frequently laments that her detective is a vegetarian Finn and the difficulties that creates, since she knows nothing of Finland. It has been speculated that Agatha Christie poured out her frustrations with Hercule Poirot through the character of Mrs Oliver.
