Anthony Paul Kennedy Shriver

Anthony Paul Kennedy Shriver (born July 20, 1965) is an activist for the mentally retarded. In 1989, he founded Best Buddies International, an international organization that helps the intellectually disadvantaged to find employment and social opportunities.
He is part of the Kennedy family. His father is Sargent Shriver and his mother is Eunice Mary Kennedy who founded the Special Olympics movement in 1968.
He attended Georgetown University as an undergraduate, where in 1987, he had started a precursor Best Buddies volunteer program that paired university students with mentally retarded individuals of similar age.
He received a bachelor's degree with a double major in theology and history from Georgetown University in 1988.
He is married and has three children.
