Another Side of Bob Dylan
|
Another Side of Bob Dylan, released August 8, 1964, is considered one of Bob Dylan's most important albums. It marked the start of his move away from his roots in folk and protest music, towards a more rock-oriented sound; he was, however, at this stage, still performing solo with acoustic guitar and harmonica, rather than accompanied by an electric band.
One can also hear an early flowering of the lyrical surrealism that was to characterise later 60s albums such as Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde.
