Albert F. Sabo
|
Albert F. Sabo (1920-2002) was a judge in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. He is most famous for serving as the judge at the Mumia Abu-Jamal trial. Abu-Jamal's supporters claim that Sabo presided over more death sentences than any other judge in the history of the state, although this assertion has never been definitively documented since no such statistics are consistently collected. He continued to serve until 1993, when it was discovered that he was too old to be practicing as a judge and was forced to turn in his gavel.
