- The albedo of an object is its optical reflectivity, i.e., the extent to which it reflects light.
- An albedo feature is a large area on the surface of a planet (or other solar system body) which shows a contrast in brightness or darkness (albedo) with adjacent areas.
- The albedo is also the "spongy white tissue on the inside of the rind of citrus fruit" (American Heritage Dictionary (http://www.bartleby.com/61/83/A0178300.html)) between the peel and the fruit. See Citrus Fruits (http://www.contentotrade.com/Terpene/eng/l'agrume.htm) for an illustration and discussion.
