Provinces of Mongolia
|
Mongolia is divided into 21 aymags (provinces). Aimaq (also spelled aimag, and aimak) is the Mongolian word for province, and date from the period of Qing Dynasty domination over Outer Mongolia. This system was continued even when independence was gained.
See ISO 3166-2:MN for their ISO 3166-2 codes.
