Adam Busby
|
Adam Busby (born 1948) was the founder of the Scottish National Liberation Army (SNLA) in 1980.
He went to Ireland in 1983 to avoid SNLA-related conspiracy charges in Scotland, and has lived there ever since despite repeated attempts to have him extradited to the United Kingdom.
A Maoist revolutionary with an enthusiasm for poetry and philosophy, he has committed a number of anti-English exploits, including organising SNLA attacks on British targets in the USA. He is held in ill regard by the media and by constitutional nationalist organisations such as the Scottish National Party.
He is allaged to have sent caustic soda disguised as aromatherapy oils to a number of people including Cherie Blair, the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2002.
