Abédi Ayew Pelé (born November 5, 1964) is a former Ghanian football player. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 1992. Also, Pelé named him as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.
Abédi Pelé played 67 times for Ghana and is considered the greatest football player in his country's history. He never got to shine on the world's biggest stage, as Ghana failed to qualify for the Template:Wc time and time again. Not only is he one of the best in Ghana , he is one of the all-time greats in Africa.
