A Little Less Conversation
|
"A Little Less Conversation" is a song written by Mac Davis and Billy Strange and was originally recorded by Elvis Presley for the movie Live a Little, Love a Little in 1968.
In 2002, the song was remixed by Junkie XL and became a Number 1 hit in over 20 countries. At about the same time, a compilation of Presley's U.S. Number 1 chart hits, entitled ELV1S 30 #1 Hits, was being prepared for release. "A Little Less Conversation" (remix version) was quickly added as the album's 31st track just before its release in October 2002.
The remixed song was used by Nike, Inc. as the background music to a series of TV commercials featuring international soccer stars. It was also featured in the 2001 version of the movie, Ocean's Eleven, as well as the opening theme of the NBC television series, "Las Vegas".
It was also memorably sung in conjunction with a crazed dance routine by "American Idol" contestant Jon Peter Lewis.
